Best place to buy an IBM T Series Laptop?

Suggestions? This will be my first laptop purchase so I'm curious where others tend to purchase their IBM laptops. Thanks for any help you can give me as I plan to purchase within the next month or so.

I got mine directly through IBM.com due to the 30 day return policy for any reason.

Sounds like a decent idea. I just assumed that direct from IBM would be more expensive. I'll check it out.

Use the mastercard discount, visa discount, or the EPP discount for better prices. If you order from IBM, make sure to select free ground shipping, they always upgrade you to 2nd day service for free.

I got a real good deal with my student discount and using the get a quote thing. I got a T42 1.7, 80gb HD, 512 ram, DVDRW/CDRW, 14" +SXGA Screen for $2100

if you know anyone at harvard try to get a laptop from there. There educational discounts are ridiculous. I got a t42p for 1828.

Either direct from IBM or from thinkpads.com

If your a student go through your computer store which probably is just a direct IBM reseller... they just order them direct from IBM and you pay the same price...
