Sears, while not the most intelligent about their products, have the best service and support, and also price match as well.

I'd look there for a toshiba or a samsung set. Best value for the $$ IMHO.

Another place to look at is Sams Club, at the Akai 27" Flatscreen. I paid $389 for it, and it's simply a samsung rebadge. AWESOME TV for the money.

I think they'll do online vendor PM, but they'll factor in shipping, which could get pretty pricey on a 27"-32" TV :)

they had a sticker for a 32" trinitron for 549.99 closeout.Didnt see the model....im assuming its similar to my former trinitron.

yah, shipping is a biotch but they can hopefully shave the price.

I don't know about Sears and all, but one nice thing to look out for is price protection guarantees. I bought my Toshiba TV from the Wiz in NYC, and they have a 90 day price protection guarantee against major retail chains like BB, CC, etc. Well, soon enough, about 2 months down the road, the tv dropped it's price $20. Just walked right in with the receipt and they put money back into my credit card. Nice touch.

And if the TV salesmen at Sears are paid commission like the appliance salesmen you should be able to negotiate. I was able to get a pretty good deal on my washing machine I bought from there a year or so ago.

THis is one of the best deals for TVs right now. I will be getting my check from AMEX today! $239.50 for a 27" Tau is an amazing price!

CostCo/Sam's Club because they offer the best prices and best return policies.

Otherwise I'd buy from Circuit City because I think they're driven off commission and you can sometimes negotiate a lower price.

Or your local A/V dealer or Video Only.

Get it where it's the cheapest. Don't get an extended warranty. If it's going to break, it'll do so within the three year manufacotrers warranty. If not, then you still should've saved up enough money after that to buy a new one!
