Not something you would shop around often, even occasionally, but its time to upgrade at my home...

There is a Best Buy coupon for 10% off, but I have no clue which are cheap/good places to buy. Home Depot?

Requirements:

Just the basics with added water filtration system and external water/ice dispenser.

We bought a fridge, stove and microwave from Pacific Sales here in SoCal this year.

I always recommend doing business with your locally owned appliance stores instead of the "Big-Name" stores like SEars, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Those places generally have set prices, most often at MSRP, whereas a locally owned store will usually negotiate price to get your business. Extended warranties are usually just as good, if not better, and those prices can usually be negotiated as well. Delivery and installation are more areas that can be negotiated.
Last spring, we bought a new gas range. We shopped all the "Big name stores", then went to the local appliance store. They beat all the "big name stores" by over $400 and gave free delivery and reduced installation. (The installer had to cut tile and move electrical boxes to make the range fit, otherwise installation would have been free)
PLUS, as a side benefit, you're supporting a local business rather than a big-name business that doesn't spend its money locally.

home depot usually has some deals with certain $ off if you open a home depot card that usually has 0% interest for i think 12 months. i was able to get them to pricematch a fridge from sears as well. so saved quite a bit of money. but do shop around.

Just saw a newspaper ad from Lowes that said 10% off for all appliances $400 and up. Call them and check it out. Make sure they give you free delivery and pick up the old stuffs.

Check out Sears for Scratch & Dent buys at the Outlet stores. I picked up a 26 cubic foot side by side fridge for $750 (originally $1300) that had one small dent in the side of the door (on the corner and I don't even notice it) I don't recommend this if you're looking for stainless steel... Only if you want white or black as you can touch up paint spots if needed. SS shows dents too easily.

My second kitchen has an 18cu foot fridge with an ice maker. New from Sears was $450. I got it for $325. It also had a few dents, but they were in the back and are up against the wall. No biggy.

Screw home depot, worst customer service Ive had in quite some time. Read about my recent purchase here. Im not saying that lowes is great everywhere, but they definately went above and beyond for me

Bought my last one at Sears. (several years ago)
If I was buying Today I would also consider Costco, and maybe Fry's too ...

Sears... Got ours from there last year.

Home Depot seems like a rip. I just don't trust Bestbuy for something where I'll eat from.

I've always trusted Sears for appliances. They'll typically bend over backwards to get you to walk out the door having purchased something.

I just bought a LG french door design fridge about a month or so ago and ended up getting it at Best Buy with a price match on a deal from Home Depot.

It ended up being a better deal for me because the Home Depot deal had rebates on a few items and Best Buy was willing to price match and there was no need to mess with the rebates.

Plus I signed up for the reward zone card (free) and applied it to the purchase and got a $20 Best Buy gift card also.

We looked at every single place we could find for fridges (probably 12 or more places) and once we narrowed down the model we wanted, we waited for a holiday weekend (when all the sales happen) and jumped on it.

Veterans Day is coming up on the 11th, they might be having deals then.

That's where I go for my appliances. They've got great deals for minor scratches. It helps that I've got one close by, though, and can pop over and wander around the warehouse.

10% off coupons for Home Depot and Lowes were going for $2 on ebay the last time I looked.

If you wait until after Christmas they'll have 20% off coupons for like $40.
