yo everyone,

Need to find a place that sells cheap, decent quality King-size comforters. Nothing special, but not crappy.
My gf found a bunch of comforters for like $50 on Overstock.com, but I've heard horror stories about that place. Recommendations?

I've bought a pair of comforters from Overstock, though I paid much more than $50. Mine were more like $150-200, though they were king size.

You want to make sure that your comforters are goose down, and not feathers (at least 95% down). You also want to ensure that you have the highest thread count (TC) in the casing that you can afford. Low TC will let the feathers/down escape and they will be all over your bedroom.
 
my gf bought a down comforter from them for like $40 and it feels like plastic... I'm sure you can find something decent for that kind of money though
