Best Place to book a hotel online?

I am going to a wedding in a few weekends on a Georgian Island that happens to be more expensive than it really should be. Where do you suggest getting a hotel? I got burned bad by priceline once before but at the same time got an excellent deal on a hotel.

Any suggestions or advice? Much appreciated.

Check both Travelocity and Expedia AFTER directly checking hotel's site.
Go with lowest price.

EDIT: Check Orbitz before Travelocity and Expedia. They are my favorite for booking.

In my experience they have prices slightly better or on par with the other sites, and I've used them many times without any issues.
