best place for car rental in europe (austria)?

hey, im going to be in austria in <48hrs, but we still havent rented a car.

anyone know which firm gives the best deals? we're thinking of something like a VW golf.

figured most of the rental agencies would have a presence in all the large cities though.

im going to be in Graz.

Have you considered taking a train to get around? Typically you can pretty much get anywhere you need to in western europe by just riding the trains and taking local busses/taxis...

I lived in Holland for 4 months and did fine on public transportation...

There is a Hertz, Alamo, and National in Graz according to the intarweb, Any one of them would be fine. I like renting from hertz as i have gotten good service from them.

public trans. isnt really an option, because im only going to be in austrija a few days, then im going down to the coast, and eventually to serbija
