Question Best Pick for Ryzen 5000 Build: 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3600 Mhz CL16 or 32 GB (2 x 16GB) 3200 MHz CL16?

Yesterday, I pulled the trigger on G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3200 MHz CL16 (F4-3200C16D-32GTZN). Today, I regret my choice a bit as I feel I am leaving performance on the table by not going with 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) of 3600 MHz RAM CL 16 (these sticks:F4-3600C16D-16GTZNC). I have no need for 32 GB, but thought I would get a boost from dual-rank operation. Thoughts?

Note: This is for a new build based around a 5600X CPU, B550 mobo, and one of the new GPUs (6800 or 6800 XT) for gaming at 1440p.

I agree that the 32GB you got makes sense, plus you can always OC and tweak timings for better performance.

I went 3200/32GB route and have no regrets. I know I am decently future proof and I can run a game server plus play on that server from the same machine.
I am very tempted to go to 64GB
