Best PhysX card to pair w/ GTX 770?

Now that I have my 770 humming along nicely I was wondering what would be the best PhysX card to pair with it. Would a 650Ti Boost work, or do I need something more powerful?

Thx.

Erm,maybe just use your 770?,do people still use still use an extra card for physx?(silly buggers).

It depends on the game.

If he has a game that puts a big load on his gpu then tries to run physx on top of that performance will suffer abit compared to having the dedicated card for physx.

On games that a light with the effects it won't be as big a hit.

A 650 Ti should be fine.

From what I saw when I was doing research on a dedicated card physx cares for the amount of cores and clock speed and less on ram.

I ended up going with a 650 superclocked due to the extra clock speed over the regular 650 and stuck with a 1GB gpu 2GB's was not needed.

Hey mak,im not necessarily havnig a a gomate but an extra card?

ya i'm not sure what you mean here.

And yes an extra card his question is not if he should get the card he is asking which one, he has already made the decision to go physx with a dedicated card unless i'm mistaken.

Ya, i was being a tard, a 650 Ti would be fine Raist.

Question, is do you want it more powerful or do you need it?

Define your needs and wants, first 😉

No point to have another card contributing heat/power to your system, if you ask me.

Return the GTX 770 and get a GTX 780 instead??? You would only need to spend about an extra $100 and performance would probably be better. If you have the 650 ti boost laying around then by all means use it, but I sure wouldn´t buy a $150 card only for Physx.

An extra $100 eh? Cheapest gtx770 costs $400, cheapest gtx780 costs $650. Where'd u learn to do math?

edit: nevermind. thought u said the gtx 780 was $100 more expensive.😛

and where did you learn to read as well as do math? read his comment again a little closer and see if you find where you are mistaken.

Dedicated physx gpus are such a waste. Just get a GTX 780 if you really want the extra power.

Both of you guys are just wrong. Anyone that wants to use hardware PhysX will always be best served by going the dedicated route. PhysX games these days require quite a bit of GPU power on their own to calculate the physics for the many thousands of particles that will be on the screen at once.

Running PhysX on your primary renderer would slow down the games unless the PhysX was on the lowest settings, or he doesn't play at GPU limited settings....even on a GTX 780..

Agreed.

Some of us are running dedicated physx cards and have done the research on it.
