OK firstly hello all :)

Secondly, i am currently sourcing a s370 motherboard but there are a few conditions. It needs to be very high performance (benchmarks etc .)

1. Cannot be 815 chipset
2. Must have onboard VGA
3. Price doesnt matter
4. Must be out of the box compatible with redhat linux
5. Can happily support DDR if you feel its beneficial
6. Fairly small form factor preffered

There you have it.

Any help is appreciated :)

Thanks in advance.

Any help would be appreciated

Yeah why not i815?

You can get them in MicroATX, they perform quite well, Linux supports them, they have integrated video....

I guess other than that you could try i810...though it's just a castrated i815...or a Via PM133 but you'd have to be loony to take Via over Intel.

The only other option I can think of is a ServerWorks IIILE board, but they won't be a small form factor.

It should meet the rest of your requirements though.

Not really, there are some valid reasons I can think of. First of all, the memory limitation of i815, 512MB. Today SDRAM is so cheap even a 1 Gig isn't overkill for a power user.
