Best performance RAM at good price?

I am looking for some good and fast DDR ram at least PC3200 or faster. I want great compatability with my ABIT NF7-S at least at 400 MHz. I need 1 GB 512 MBx2

I also want good timings if not the aplosute best and some good overclocking head room if possible.

I don't want to pay to much as I would probably get the OCZ 4200 EL fo just under $400 as it has good low speed performance as well as good overclocking.

So what is the best performance bang for the with DDR Ram?

Thanks

Also, I don't need to run anywere near as fast as 4200 just yet but whant some juture head room. Mushking Level 1 kits have been mentioned in other posts. Would that be my best bet, and if so what speed should I get?

You really can't go wrong with either the Corsair XMS or Kingston HyperX. I've used both without any problems what so ever. I had the XMS 3200 LL that would do 2-2-2-6 stable (rated for 2-3-2-6 I believe)....and the same for this HyperX.

Reading some more articles at Anadtech, it seems that the OCZ 3700 Gold Rev. 2 may be the best overall ram capable of fast timings and high speeds, and it is always a top performer in its speed range. Newegg has these for $269. Would this be my best option?

Thanks
