I want to buy a pda to surf the web for email and other stuff. i heard that sprint is coming out w/G3 technology early next year that supposely allows u to surf 144k (vs 14.4k now) over a wireless connection.

1) With that in mind, would you guys recommend Sprint? Or is G3 vaporware to get someone like me to subscribe to them?

And if not Sprint, which cell phone provider do u recommend?

2) Which PDA do u recommend?

3) I know the Sprint Timeport comes w/the data cable to plug into the PDA. The Nokia 7160 (For Xingular) also comes w/it. And the Kyocera Palm/phone has built wireless capabilities. Which cell phone do u recommend to use w/the PDA?

Now that the Samsung i300 has arrived, only its price should deter from it ($500, maybe less at Amazon). The price is the only reason why I haven't yet updated my SprintPCS phone.

I've used SprintPCS as my only phone service for over two years now (Washington DC area) and have only had a major event like 9/11 really disrupt my service.

Once 3G is on the scene, I think we'll all have to upgrade phone to take advantage of it.
