What do yall use for some serious war hammering/driving. I've got a few unsupecting neibhors who I'm getting around 16% sniff on, and im looking to get a better signal. hehehe....I don't have to use my own bandiwth for my laptop then.

What's a good PCMCIA Card, and are there good PCMCIA cards which have a little antenna, or the ability to connect an antenna to it?

Oh yea its 802.11b

You may not get a whole lot of replies here. try Netstumbler or
Wifoo .I have an internal pci card so I cant help with the original question. I wish I had a pcmcia so I could attach an external antenna.

Wardriving is not a crime.( But turnin on people's wep , then emailing the passphrase with links to Wifi security may-be)😀 But stealing bandwidth is definetely not part of the hacker ethos. explore have fun but don't be a punkass.

These people just plug and played their wireless. I'm just interested in using their unused bandwith and not using mine....lol. These people are all way above their 60's. I found out about them when my friend brought his wireless router over. He forgot to plug it in but somehow was still receiving data. So we did a little research. Over the past 3 weeks the highest pull they have used is a 65k down, for roughly thirty seconds. Other than that they have never used anything over 65 and the average is 24. Just using it for when I want to be outdoors and wireless.

I get really good range on my Netgear WG511T card with a variety of AP's (much better than my old v3 linksys WPC11). I haven't been able to find the location of the other AP near my house (I found it when swapping out my old AP for a new one and was still getting packets off the net) so I haven't really bothered with netstumbler lately.

Instead why dont you let them know that their access point is open, and provide some links or advice on how to further secure their network.if you want free bandwidth instead of jacking bandwidth from old people, why don't you figure out how to get it from bigger instituitons.

Word. Don't be a fvcking tool. Hell, walk over and help them secure things up. Less interfering traffic the better.
