looking to upgrade my roomate's rig so he can get some decent frame rates. mainly for counterstrike and some 3D games, nothing big. he's got a Compaq w/ no AGP so i need a decent PCI card, thinking Voodoo 3~5. i've no idea what the vid cards available in PCI form are besides the voodoos, are there any other 3D cards to consider? looking for a price range of ~$60-100, the cheaper the better since this is going to be mainly just for counterstrike.

 
heh, can't believe i forgot to mention. it's a p3-700 (non-oc'ed since it's on a damn compaq mobo, what a waste 🙁 ) and 128mb of memory. 15gb hdd of modest hdd space and onboard audio.

 
If he dosen't plan on going to Win2k,ME or Whistler for a year or so,then yea go with the V5.Nothing else comes close in PCI.

If he does then I'd recomend a V3 for 60$ for now and upgrade to a better mobo when he goes to the next OS,THEN he can get a GFwhatever in AGP.
