My motherboard doesn't have a AGP port so I'm looking for recommendations on the best PCI graphics card for gaming (half life, quake3, etc)

Jobberd is right; Voodoo 5 for speed, or Radeon for slightly slower than Voodoo 5, but support and updated drivers (and possibly slightly better 2D, as well).

Voodoo 5
can't go wrong except they don't make driver for them anymore, unless x3dfx makes some more!!!
other than that they are not that expensive.
Although Radeon looks kind-of good though!

it somewhat depends on your system, cpu type/speed
if you have a fairly fast cpu (600 to 700+) the voodoo5 is the way to go.
note the V5 is a long card you have to have room for it plus it needs a good powersupply, 200watts+ but people have run it on 150watters.
other than that the voodoo4 or geforceMX on a slower cpu ( under 600)
Kyro2 pci????????unknown at this time.
note voodoo 4/5 pci cards are getting hard to come by in some parts of world

hey ... i have a vd3 3k AGP ... and Tbird 800 ...
is worth to take a vd5 agp or if the performance is about the same would be great a pci one, just futures plans of a faster AGP for my tbird and let it to any other slower here ...
and easier to sell, cause all integrated everything mobos dont have a agp slot ...

a agp would be cheaper ... so ... what to do ... ?

( i plan to get a vd5, i loved my vd3 so expect the 5 to be heaven, and afterwards a radeon 2 truform`s or something away from nvidia ... )
