What is the best gaming card $200 can buy now?
Main concern is Battlefield 2, but obviously I'd like the best performance possible at that price for current and future games.
6600gt, 6800, x800 ?

I've actually got about $185 left in my budget, but I can go over by a few bucks if it means a substantial performance increase.

The best card under $200 would be the 6600GT. You can also get a 6800 for $230 or so for the next step up.

What about the RADEON X800? Should be noticeably faster than the 6600GT for about the same price. Especially when using AA/AF.

I have the sapphire one. Truth be told its kind of loud. Look at the difference in the heatsinks. I wish I bought the Powercolor one for that reason.

I have the sapphire too, and it is kinda loud, but a zalman vf700 took care of it. Anyway, the sapphire x800 256mb is going for $170 after the rebate, and the 128mb for $150. Both are significantly faster than a 6600gt for the same price.

I'd say it is worth it for only $20 more. It's not exacltly a budget card when it gets 4100 in 3dmark05 stock, and 4800 when OC'd. It's actually a 12-pipe version of a x800xl, everything else is basically the same specs, so it could put the 256mb to good use.

Without question the hottest deal in video card.

With the current X800 deals, it seems that is the way to go right now.

Seems? it's as fast or faster than 6800 let alone 6600GT which it rapes all for $150...no brainer.
