Hi All,

Hope someone can help with recommendations on PC4000 or PC4400 2Gb Matched Pairs.

I am trying to increase memory speed in my current rig, as I have the opportunity of moving my Corsair 3500LLPRO memory to another rig being built and am therefore on the look-out for possible faster speeds oon memory to upgrade system.

I have been able to push my FX60 to 3.1 Ghz (260 x 12), but the 3500LLPRO won't run at all through this extra 10Mhz and I'd rather not muck around with dividers, so stuck at 3.0Ghz.

Now I have the chance to change memory without paying out full cost of new modules (as I am selling the new rig with 3500LLPRO), I am looking to push settings to DDR550+ if possible (280 x 11), but want to run at 1T command rate.

The Corsair 4400PRO looked like a good option from write-ups, as all had these at 275+ at 1T, but I received a pair last week and they wouldn't even run 260Mhz 3-4-4-8 at 1T. I was lucky that the parcel was bashed up when received and the modules were loose in box, so I RMA'd as damaged and got refund rather than replacments (as they had no more stock).

So after the lengthy explanation - does anyone have any recommendation of 2Gb pairs that can run 275Mhz+ at 1T?

If not other choice is 260 x 12 and therefore pairs that will run tight timings 1T at 260Mhz??

Thanks

Ridesy:

That board will do well over 300FSB, why limit yourself to 260FSB to get 1:1 memory? There's DDR600 available that wiil even OC to slightly higher than that.

Surely a 300+FSB (with approprait multi) and DDR600 memory 1:1 will be faster than a lower fsb (with approprait multi) and DDR550 memory 1:1.

Or are you looking for the "mystical sweet spot" where both the CPU and memory are maxed out? But then you're a gammer and I'm an OCer, so I can live with 2x515 and just switch sticks when I need more RAM.

I'd also suggest that you buy based on IC's not brand.

I would also look at OCZ's 2GB Gold kits... definitely good for 260MHz at 3-4-3-8... Mine are a year old so perhaps some of the newer kits will do even better.
