My choice is either Corsair XMS3200 or HyperX PC3200.

Unless u are goin to overclock don't get the low latency kind. Don't think it is worth the extra $$$

buffalo 3700, cheaper than corsair 3200 and will run 3200 speeds at tighter timings. also more future proof.

Probably the best option out there stuffs like 100 bucks for 512 and can run at low timings easy.

Ditto. The hailed BH5 chips!

Edit: oh yeah - and if you're into overclocking I'd recommend the 2500+ instead. Very similar o/c potential (and you can run these things at 200FSB no problem) and you will save yourself some cash! Plus you can use the extra money on a very nice heatsink/fan for the CPU instead ;).

Thanks for all the advice!! I haven't really done much with overclocking. Does it decrease the life expectancy of your cpu??

I'm running OCZ PC3200 Gold 200FSB(400) at turbo timings(8RDA+) default voltage. Ran memtest86 for hours without a single error. Good memory IMO. Heard their RMA service was good aswell which is important to me.

I wonder if the Buffalo 3700 would work on a Shuttle AN35N board? The BIOS limits the memory to 2.7V. I think the Buffalo BH-5 chips like it at 2.8 volts or higher. Any ideas, anyone?

Was very close to getting the Corsair XMS TwinX 3200LL 2x512 for $319 at Fry's today, but held off and was gonna buy @ Newegg for about $285. Then I did some more posting around and reminded people I don't OC and don't know whether I will in the future. Ended up just going with the PC 3200 Buffalo that I bought here. (though I went w/ Samsung Buffalo, if that means anything to anybody). Was $196 shipped for 1GB.

Why - I dunno, because it was cheaper and I'm tired of trying to research it to hell...gonna use it w/ a P4 3.0 and INTC D865PERLK mobo - both 800FSB of course.

Yes!! But don't worry. It is very slight as long as you know what you're doing. We're talking reducing it's life from 20 years to 15 or maybe 10 if you're crazy. As long as you stick to our tips it will be fine ;).

As long as you keep the voltage close to stock, you will not shorten the CPU by any measurable period of time ;).
