3 years back, there seemed to be a lot of different ones like InternetPhone. The only PC-to-PC voice chat programs I know of now are the ones built into AOL IM, Yahoo Messenger, and MSN Messenger.

Is there one that works better than the others (for Win98/Windows2000)? I know the Microsoft Windows Messenger for XP supposedly has enhanced voice audio codecs for better sound, but Microsoft's Messenger offering for Win98/2000 (MSN Messenger) makes no mention of this.

If you've ever compared these voice chat programs, I'd like to hear which one you thought was better.

Do any of these have superior voice quality to the ones found in AIM, Yahoo, etc.? Or do they all use the same audio codecs?
