for games like NFS and any driving game, which one has the most "real life" feel?

and is Force FeedBack that necessary and well-implemented?

I have boiled the choices down to the ones with a Gear Shifter (i like it and reduce choices)

Act Labs RS
Saitek R4
Thrustmaster NASCAR Digital Pro (1 or 2)
Thrustmaster Ferrari

If I had my choice, I'd get the one from Act Labs because it supports a REAL shifter (7 gears, if my memory serves me correctly). The shifter on the Thrustmaster Digital wheels only go up/down. Force feedback does nothing but increase your lap times.

If you must have FF, then either the Act Labs or the Guillemot Ferrari take the top prize.

If FF is not necessary (and you have plenty of money), the Thomas SuperWheel is super sweet.

Not for me it didn't. In fact, I've set my best times to date in Grand Prix Legends with my Ferrari wheel. I also did not suffer any major CPU "hit" either, but I think that's mainly a problem with just the Micro$oft FF wheels.

yeah, I was thinking of the Act Labs RS too, but only a few games supports it, and NFS is not one of them!
urrrg.... and the price is quite high, 189 bucks... and its the cheapest I found and its on Act-Labs' site itself (searched thru yahoo and only one website sells it)

RS shifter only works with Act Labs' wheel.

My comment about force feedback increasing laptimes is that it distracts too much from the actual driving. Turning FF off in Viper Racing lowers my times by as much as 2 sec per lap on the more technical tracks.
