Quake 2, I still listen to it sometimes.

Rebel Galaxy.

FF7, only for nostalgia reasons.

Everything else comes after that.

To be fair, that didn't have its own music.

Kinda like the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack running circles on the top## music charts :p

The Incredibly awesome Offworld Trading Company soundtrack by Christopher Tin.

A distant second would be Supreme Commander which is pretty good.

Road Rash (I played this on the 3DO back in 1995-ish) had a great soundtrack (not sure if it had any original music though).

Homeworld 2

You forgot the better one ... the ORIGINAL Homeworld soundtrack is engrossing. The game is fantastic but it was elevated to an even higher level by the engrossing storyline and IMHO the best soundtrack ever created for a PC game.

KF2 has a few good bangers... which I always appreciate whilst slaying the undead.

Half-Life 2 had some excellent instrumental tracks that complemented the feel of the game perfectly.

EDIT: also Deus Ex OST's are very good

I was half asleep when I wrote that or I would've written both 1 and 2 :). I love both soundtracks. Also a huge fan of the Total Annihilation soundtrack. Blizzard games soundtracks are usually pretty high quality as well and add a lot to their games.

Every 4-5 years, I end up reinstalling Total Annihilation , Homeworld, Master of Orion and a few more and spend a weekend playing that game. A few weeks ago I went to dig out my high school stuff in storage at my parents house just to find my warcraft 3 cd key, was planning to spend a weekend playing it but now PoE 3.0 is getting released tomorrow so I've postponed it for a few weeks.

Final Fantasy 3 on the SNES (masterpiece considering this was using a SNES audio processor)
Skyrim (Jeremy Soule is a great composer)
MGS Snake Eater (Friggin Harry Gregson-Williams just keeps adding to his resume on this one!

I remember thinking Descent was pretty good. Also really liked the soundtrack for Myth: The Fallen Lords. Have to say The Witcher 3 was excellent as well.

I loved Tabula Rasa music, and Quake 2. Planetside 1 had fantastic music but is hard to find now.
