Best PC Boutique

Hi im in the market to buy a $3000 gaming pc (with LCd monitor/speakers) it doesnt have to be too fast, a midrange- mid/high tower is fine. I was wondering which boutique to go to, ive looked at Alienware, Falcon, and Voodoo but they all seem a little bit too much. ive seen the Dell XPS machines but ive had too many bad experiences with dell. I also want a P4 based system with pci-e graphics and DDR2 capability, even though i would perfer an AMD but with pci-e making a huge hit i feel it wouldnt be wise. (am i wrong? how soon will the boutiques offer AMD pci-e boards?)

thanks for the help.

Build yourself and don't worry about DDR2/PCIe right now. Maybe a S939 setup, just upgrading the motherboard later for PCIe when it's practical/inexpensive/necessary/whatever. In gaming, a S754 3400+ gives the 3.4EE a run for its money, so try an AMD.
