I'm putting together a new kinda fast\budget system, any comments? Please, no intel.

MSI K9A2 Platinum
EVGA 512-P3-N802-AR GeForce 8800GT
CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin (PC2 6400)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz

All for about $500.00 at Newegg.

Thanks!

For your money I think the best you can get is the following:
Gskill DDR1000 2x2gb $75
E7200 $120
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L $100 (can do Xfire)
4850 Saffire $150AR. (can add one more latter)
Xigmatec S1283 ($30)

A little less than $500 but will be way faster. Can probably do 4Ghz.

Although I agree the K9A2 Plat is a great board (infact I raved about it here ) I have to agree that the 790GX chipset is a better option. For one, it has the new SB750 which comes with much improved Overclocking and a new SB with more ports and better performance, additionally all the 790GX boards have NB multiplier adjustment which the K9A2 Plat does not have- and they're cheap! So I would recommend Any of these boards If you went with the Biostar then the money you saved on the mobo could be put toward a 4850 which destroys the 8800GT.
