It may not sound like a sweet job to the rest of you, but I loved it.
I worked about 30 hours a week delivering garden and kitchen products to retail stores from Eugene, OR up to Bellingham, WA. The Olympic Peninsula was also part of my territory.
Short (35 ft) trailer, so Seattle streets were almost never a issue. No boss over my shoulder (like almost all of trucking). Company cell phone. I had my .mp3 discs of Howard Stern and Loveline. No tv in the truck, so I got to read novels during my offtime. I had friends in Snohomish, so I slept in one of their beds when I was in the neighborhood.
Best part was hourly wage, so I never had to speed. :thumbsup:
