Could be a firewall issue, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you won't get an answer from anyone seeing as this is a rather highly anti-pirating community, and file-sharing programs are used primarily for pirating (there are legitimate uses too, but they FAR underweigh pirates)

Kazaa Lite sucks.

Limewire >>> K-lite.

I use Limewire for individual songs, and bittorrent for albums and games. ;)

I haven't touched kazaa in a while, but I recommend Shareaza (freeware) which still gets updated. Even when i used Kazaa, this one always gave me more results so I never felt the need to go back

Wow, didn't know anyone used Kazaa any more. BitTorrent, EMule, IRC. SoulSeek is good for just music.

The difference between Azureus (and other BT clients) and KL is that BT downloads are throttled in proportion to your upload speed. Some of the other file-sharing programs do the same thing (eDonkey, for example). If you're getting slow download speeds through BT, it's likely either because you haven't forwarded the proper ports on your firewall (and thus can't connect properly to peers) or you're throttling your upload speed too much. With Azureus though, if you throttle your upload speed at 5Kbps, I believe the download limiter is disabled. Slow speeds could also simply be due to using a torrent with slow seeders or a crappy seeder/leecher ratio.

How can i fix azuerues, specifically. i liked kazaa because i could get single songs and single programs fast and had tons of choices.

I'm not connecting either (though admittedly I haven't connected in a long while). Could it be that their network finally went down?

Limewire sucks. If you want a good Gnutella client use Shareaza. I personally use BT (µTorrent) and eMule.
