best overclock you have seen to date?

what is the best OC you have ever seen? i am curious what is going on right now...

what is the new killer OCing chip?

for ex...the 1.6A reigned king for a LONG time

what has taken its place?

i wold say its either the 1.6A or 1.8A c1 stepping
i've seen a 1.6A do a 100% overclock to 3.2ghz
i've also seen a 1.8A c1 steeping over at overclockers forums do a 95% overclock to 3.5ghz

the "new" killer overclocker isnt really new per se
its jsut a new stepping (C1 instaed of B0)

1.8a
2.26 C1 stepping should be good as well (i havnt seen any yet so i cant comment if in fact they are good or not)
but with 2.26 since you already start at fsb of 133 a higher fsb may be possible, close to 200 maybe

my personal overclocks anyways:

i have a 1.8A at work that runs 2.9 with ease with stock cooling.
p2 233 @ 367 with stock cooling.

It depends.
If we´re talking in terms of %, definetely the 1.8A-C1, running @ 3.6.
I managed to push it up to 3.345 GHz, with intel´s hsf, while a friend, with prometeia cooling, hit the 3.6. You can read the full story @ the overclockers forum.

Now if we´re talking about the top frequency, then it has to be something in the 4.4 - 4.8 Gigs range. LN2 of course, not exactly 24x7.

I've got my 1.6a @ 2.4 & my Samsung memory @ 400mhz.
I ran Prime95 for 15 hrs w/no errors. I was wondering, since they say run it 24 hrs, if it didn't crash or have errors in 15 hrs it was pretty much stable?
What kind of crazy cooling does one need to get a 100% overclock on this chip? :Q

Anyone know how one would get a 100% overclock on a 1.6a? Would it involve something other than stock cooling?
If my system ran Prime95 for 15 hrs with no error, is it a good bet it's stable?

I would think it needs water or vapor cooling and then a very high vcore to run stable (if it can)....I have never seen a 3.2ghz oc that was a complete running system that was stable...Heck Thugs and I can both boot our machines into windows at 3ghz but it took 1.8+vcore and neither of us liked it on that speed even for a brief moment.....Does SNDS sound famaliar???

I think my 1.14ghz oc with a nice 1.7v is nice!!!

JCviggen is a madman, consistently high overclocks from this man.<a href="http://users.pandora.be/JCviggen/4.24.JPG">
