Also consider Orabase (as opposed to Oragel, Anbesol, etc.). It's the same ingredient as Anbesol but in a paste form. Better particularly for canker sores and such.

You could also try and crack the tooth and suck out all the puss. :)

Seriously, though, a strong dose of motrin can kill pretty near any pain. If it's severe pain, I'd check with a dial-a-nurse or something then take 800+ milligrams.

Are your sinuses blocked at all? I get pain in my teeth sometimes from a clogged sinus, in which case the best way to make it go away is Vicks nasal spray.

Other than that, Advil works the best for me.
