Best OS for counterstrike server??

Which OS should i use to get the best performing counterstrike server?

Win 9x/ME, Win NT, Win 2000, Win XP or Linux?????

Oh and Win9X is never the best choice.

Yeah, if you know Linux use that. If not, pick Win2000.

Both w2k or linux would be your best bets. Choose the one you're most familiar with.

performance is realy close between linux and windows (havent tried running it on win 9x)

choose whatever youre comfortable with. as long as its linux no seriously, choose whicheve you know how to manage.

you left off openbsd running with the linux compatibility modules btw. that would make one helluva reliable server.
