I ordered three of the Rosewill 7-port USB2.0 powered hubs that are on sale (ShellShocker) today, for $14.99. 7-port USB2.0 hub.

I had previously ordered this Orico, which has 3 USB3.0 ports on top, and 7 USB2.0 ports on the front, and is powered, with a USB3.0 upstream connection to the host, for $19.99.

I didn't get a chance to try that one out, as I sold it in a bundle with a PC just recently. Thinking about ordering a few more of them. They take a while to ship. (Coming from China direct, apparently.)
I had been using a different Orico 10-port USB hub, that has 7 USB3.0 ports, and 3 charging-only ports.

That's like the Creme de la Creme of USB3.0 hub, with Mac-style styling, but it generally worked well... initially. Then the ports got worn, and the reason that I ordered the other $19.99 one, is because plugging and unplugging keyboards and mice into the USB hub, was causing my PC to reboot.
So, above all, I need reliability. Then, I need a whole bunch of ports. Then, I need USB3.0 support. (USB3.0 wifi, USB3.0 portable HDD or USB stick, and USB3.0 HDD dock, among others. Possibly USB3.0 for Cell Phone too, because it charges better.)
I was planning on giving/selling two of those three Rosewill 7-port USB2.0 hubs mentioned above, to a friend of mine and his GF. He's using a Belkin 4-port USB2.0 hub that was fairly high-quality when I gave it to him years ago, but the upstream uses a micro-USB and it's sort of intermittent. (Bump it, and you can lose all of the USB2.0 devices connected to the hub momentarily off the USB bus.) She doesn't currently use a USB hub, but I thought that I would introduce it to her, as she uses all of her PC's front ports for charging devices.
The third, well, I've got an older APC 7-port USB2.0 powered hub, that has a vertical stand, and it works fairly well, but over time, using it, some devices drop off, so I wanted to try replacing it.
I thought that the $19.99 Orico would be ideal for me, honestly, and when I get some more money, I'll probably order a few more of them, as future replacements for the semi-flaky Orico 7-port USB3.0 / 3 charging USB port hubs.
I was curious, if anyone here had some go-to USB3.0 or USB2.0 hubs that they use on a daily basis? Which ones are reliable? (Belkin was known for reliable USB2.0 hubs.)
Seems reliability in the era of USB3.0 hubs is a bit harder to come by.
Oh, one other thing, those expensive 10-port total Orico hubs with the charging ports... their USB3.0 ports, it's all too easy to plug in a USB 3.0 plug... backwards! Not sure if it's the spacing around the ports, or what.
