I was wondering what optical mouse is best for gaming? I know that the first generation of them had a lot of problems when you moved the mouse very quickly, but I know that new ones are coming out with a second sensor which makes them much better. Any suggestions on a specific mouse?
thanks,

Well I can say that I have a logitech optical mouse that i got last christmas and I love it. Feels great, it's blue, and it seems to be very smooth.

I have the first Intellimouse Explorer, and it works great. The only thing I had to do was to find a mousepad with a cloth top, it's the better surface for optical mouses.

I concur...I originally thought that plastic would be smoother, but it wasn't. I have the cheap Intellimouse Optical. :)

what about the Logitech Pilot WheelMouse Optical? I currently have a normal PS2 wheelmouse but somebody is trying to fob off his optical for mine cos the moron didnt realise he didnt have the connector the optical uses, and cant take it back. im happy with my roller mouse (if a little uncomfy), so should i say no way or do him a favour?

Logitech MouseMan Dual Optical

It's the most accurate of all the optical mice around today.
Because of the second optical eye it is a more balanced gaming mouse.

either the logitech dual optical mouseman for very good accuracy and precision.. or the logitech iFeel optical mouse. the iFeel is nice for a game like UT. i havent tried other games though. i have a logitech cordless optical mouseman and precision and accuracy isnt as good as corded, although it takes some adjustment to become playable if u were used to corded mice.
