Try Pentagon Federal Credit Union ("Pen Fed")

If you run down the "Am I qualified list?" and do not qualify otherwise, you can join an organization, which will qualify you to become a member. The link to the organization will be offered at the end of the "Am I qualified?" questions.

Lots of good feedback, many of the financial talking heads recommend them for CDs, credit cards, and other stuff.

Check 'em out

Good Luck

E-Savings is only at 4.25 now. I also have an HSBC account at 5.05 and a few others are a little higher.

I just stick with ING Direct. The rate isn't terrible, and I feel comfortable with my money there.

I am using these: (APY rates are as of 7-27-07)

Presidential 5.25
HSBC 5.05
Emigrant 5.05
Citibank direct 4.25 (probably will close due to lower rate, used to be 5.0)

There are others that offering 5.35 or higher such as FNBO, AmTrust, and the likes but I haven't use them yet.

Washington Mutual has an Online Savings account wherein if you link it with your checking account your savings has a 5.00% APY. When I closed my regular WaMu savings with the intention of opening said online savings, the teller needed a supervisor's approval who hurriedly tried to talk me out of it. She added that the 5% may expire but I suspect that was just lip service.

Vanguard Prime Money Market Fund (VMMXX) has a Compound Yield of 5.25%
