It's for IRL framing so I'm looking for best quality. What do people use nowadays?

Link 'em up please!

I just print with walgreens, but they are not what you are looking for.
Maybe Kinkos or whatever the local print shop happens to be?

those wedding boutique places usually has inhouse studios as well that you can get a price on. i would think most places do a decent job. as long as you have the resolution to support the size.

I found Nation's Photo Lab on some professional sites where they reviewed dozens of online print places.
I have gotten 5 or so orders from there and had no issues.
I just received a few 20x25" prints and they look perfect. They were like $4 ea when on sale.
They have sales just like everyone else, so watch for those.
I recommend their lustre finish. The metallic was interesting, but not something I would ever use.
I ordered a few test prints in all paper types initially to test them.

Shutterfly, Walgreens, CVS, Snapfish, etc are all trash compared to Nations, IMO.

We use ProDPI and have been pretty happy with the prints. We ordered prints from a few places on this list and liked ProDPI the best

Their support people were awesome regarding the single issue we've had with an order although ordering could be a bit more straightforward IMO. That said they did get bought by WHCC and the prices have been slowly creeping up although the quality seems the same

Mpix worked great for me so far. Decent prices and really good quality photos. Tons of options too

If you want to go a DYI route and are looking for something pretty big, I printed out some 2'x3' pictures of hi-res movie posters on fabric to create accoustical panels with. I've since created multiple frames to hang around the house with pictures of our family on them and just built a small wooden frame to staple the fabric to. I have a 2'x3' picture printed from our honey moon hanging on the wall and it looks great. I ordered the fabric from spoonflower.com

I'm absolutely horrible at wood working for the most part and building a frame to staple these to is a piece of cake. I just bought some tiny 1x2 pieces of wood from home depot and just cut them into 4 pieces then glued them together.

EDIT:

Here's the link in AV forum with info about building them and how they turned out.
