I use pics@blizzard but am looking for a good place where I can upload and manage bigger pics that will allow me to link to my gallery.Thumbnails are cool but I've got some great pics that deserve to be viewable in a larger size. Thanks :)

per Rossman's recommendation, I went with hostpc.com a while back and they have a nifty app that basically installs gallery for you..

I would have to second Ross' idea, and out of those I'd probably use coppermine or DAlbum, I just happen to have something against Gallery :(

NeoV, I belive you are referring to Fantastico - its really an awesome tool :)

Edit: Actually, hostpc uses DirectAdmin, so you would be probably be referring to Installatron. Its basically the same thing.

That looks AWESOME, very nice :)

Another benefit to having your own domain + hosting is privacy.

You have total control over the gallery software and can password protect any directories you want to remain private.

Oh, another idea :)

If you really want something low cost and can live with a .info domain, you can get one year free with a .info domain at http://www.namesecure.com. Then you can signup for a cheap packge with a hosting company such as HostPC (mentioned above) or take Ross up on his offer.

Excellent suggestion and uber cheap.

This is also very easy to do, you just have to do 1 thing. Register the domain, I can handle the rest including installation and setup of coppermine.

Then install an image gallery such as

Gallery

Well, since you won't respond to PM, apparently, just consider this a PM:

free webhosting? What kind of package do you offer? What kind of paid packages do you offer?

I respond to PM's on my own forums though :)

Free hosting is usually 50MB/500MB, PHP, MySQL, Perl, CGI, email, webmail with cPanel or DirectAdmin.

Paid hosting I only host a handful of AT'ers, I no longer offer this service.

can I install any of these gallery program from the webspaces that come with my comcast cable modem account? do I have to have a host? I have a bunch of high resolution pics from my sister wedding that I want people to just download from instead of me sending out CDs to bunch of people.

It is 10x easier if you have a domain (I can host the web site for free) then you will have PHP and MySQL.

Otherwise you need an HTML image gallery.

ok I've just reged an .info from namesecure for free 1 year, and also downloaded a HTML image gallery called easy gallery generator, I will play around with it to see if I can put the pictures in my comcast homepage, if not I might have to take up your offer, but with tons of high resolution pictures, and lots of viewing, your 50mb/500mb (thats 50mb space and 500mb bandwidth?) might not support the load. ;)
