Best online FPS right now?

*sigh* there all the same unfortunetly

Until a majority of these FPS games support co-op mode, and I mean a worth while co-op mode (Like playing through the whole game with someone)

Online play is the same from one game to another, there is only so much deathmatch and capture the flag I can take 🙂

it appears CoD2 is the only one thats fun and even that doesn't last very long.

release SoF3 or a revamped SoF2 already damnit.

its a free korean fps, mimicing BF2-like gameplay, but ALOT worse. Worth a try if you dont have BF2 or you just want to play a new free fps.
 
BF2 still probably reigns supreme...

I woulda said Joint Ops but seeing as how novalogic have managed to delete my username/pass and refuse to respond to any form of communication they kiss my hairy white ass
 
BF2 is probably the worst FPS out there right now...

It is not an infantry game, as a matter of fact, it can hardly be dscribed as a shooter...

Everyone in the game relies on tanks/APC's/helicopters/jets to get the wins/points. And now a commander can drop a tank/apc/jeep anywhere on the map...stupid.

If you do waste your money on this game, be prepared to suffer annoyances such as this:

Spawn: walk three feet :claymore

Spawn: walk two feet: APC fire

Spawn: walk 5 feet: claymore

Spawn: walk 8 feet: claymore

Spawn: walk 11 feet: wow no claymore: tank fire

Spawn: walk 2 feet: Commander drops Arty on you

Spawn: walk 3 feet: APC fire

Esc: Quit: Are you sure? fvck yah I'm sure...

Ah good point. I remember now (haven't played in months)...for some reason my brain tricked me into believing that I actually got to take a few steps before I was killed by a camper, but you're right...you don't even get to move...

And what with the gh3y language filters in that game...man, it's like the game was made for little 11 year olds who can't handle swearing, but are allowed to go online, waste theri life on a pointless game, and kill other people...

stupid.

EA sucks omg.

 
Battlefield 2, CS:Source, DoD:Source.

People like to complain about the bugs in BF2, but they're not that bad. Sure, if you get on a server with some dork who is using hacks, it sucks, but you can just move on.

As much as people like to rag on it, there just isn't anything out there as good as a well-played round of BF2, where the squads are working correctly and the commander knows wtf he is doing.

I play CS:Source and DoD:Source when I get frustrated with BF2. 🙂

When you try to play as rambo, you get owned. If you want to spawn, survive, and make points, JOIN A SQUAD.

Boggles my mind when I see people expect to go solo on foot in BF2 and succeed.

Especially if they're people begging for an infantry game. Ever had any infantry training? Ever been taught that you're part of a team and not just rambo?

Worst case scenario, just play Karkand or Mashtung(sp?) and you'll have as much infantry warfare as you can take. Most of the pure infantry guys I've seen don't know how to do much beside spam hand grenades though, so watch out. 😛

right, because you can always spawn in the middle of a squad wiht everyone around or in a strong vehicle?
