Best online dvd rental sites for Japanimation/Anime?

Steamboy (same director as akira)
lupin (volumes in order)
cutey honey 1 & 2.

najica blitz
mouse 1 & 2.

Which online dvd rental place would be most likely to have them available?

I don't know about the rental services, but if you want to download unliscensed anime(meaning its quasi-legal) check out http://www.animesuki.com

You can get a lot of good suggestions on what to download in thier forums.

Netflix has a very good selection, and GreenCine.com carries most of what netflix misses.

GreenCine only has one distribution center though, so turn-around time is 7-10 days depending on where you live.

Thank you for the feedback, Dave! Are you a member of both? The faster the turn-around time the better, but I'd rather have the movies I'm hoping to rent than none at all.

Yep, I wanted to watch some shows like Irresponsible Captain Tylor that netflix didn't carry so I dropped my cable movie channels and joined GreenCine to supplement Netflix.

If I recall my forum trivia you're in CA so Greencine's San Francisco center might give you better service than the roughly 8 days it takes for me to get a new disc after putting one in the mail. Netflix will probably be faster though.

For your specific titles, you can browse the catalogs of both Netflix and Greencine without needing to join them.

Here's a few series I can recommend that both companies carry that aren't the typical giant robots:
Kino's Journey
Haibane-Renmei
Fruits Basket

Both also carry Steamboy for sure, but it's not out until next Tuesday.

I've been pretty happy w/ netflix. On another note, I just moved to a city w/ a netfilx distro center. My turn around time is two days.
