I need to be able to access my bookmarks from any computer. The bookmarks are private; it is just my personal bookmarks and not intended for social networking. I read about Furl, but I dunno... looking for a qualified recommendation.

What is the best option. Thanks.

That looks interesting, and I might go with it, but it doesn't appear to support Opera, which I occasionally use as well. Is there anything that supports Firefox and Opera, plus IE?

Google bookmarks. Foxmarks requires an install, and google bookmarks are available anywhere the toolbar is installed (useful for hotels and stuff).

Foxmarks is now Xmarks http://www.xmarks.com . Let's hope it's still worth using and they don't over bloat it. I heard that now they will scan your bookmarks to create advertising data. No such thing as a free lunch huh?

As a suggestion you could make a private blog over at Blogspot or any other of the hundreds of bloggins sites and just add links to all of the sites you like. Then you just surf on over to the blog you made to find your links.

I use it and its great. You can sign in anywhere and access your bookmarks. Also the new version can sync with your firefox bookmarks although I have that disabled. I don't know anyone else who uses it or I would try its social aspects.

You can set bookmarks to private which is supposed to make them only visible to you. However if I search for a certain bookmark while not signed in, when it shows up, it still has my name next to it. So if someone knows my username they can see all my bookmarks but they wont see the private one unless they type the tag or name associated with a private bookmark and then it shows up. Seems kind of broken to me but I like it anyway and use it.
