Best OC'ing board with ultra/133 raid? Kinda new to raid...

Well I made the jump on got in the $10 a drive maxtor deal, and bought four of them. I'm looking to buy a new mobo pretty soon here, and am looking for the best overclocking board with raid. I was looking at the Abit at7, and it looks great, but also the asus a7v333w/ raid looks promising. Just not too sure on the fastest raid setup, with overclocking potential. Any suggestions would be great.

Abit, and Epox are the 2 that come to mind.

Make sure what ever board you chose that it has a Highpoint Raid controller, NOT Promise. Highpoint is a lot better for desktop systems. Promise has some good Raid 5 cards, but HighPoint rules the Raid 0+1 desktop.

ALright, no promise controllers. Thank you, this is exactly the info i was looking for. Well that leaves the asus out. On to more research.

One more question for someone. I'm pretty much decided i'm going to get the epox, but not sure which one.

The 8k5a3+ has the HPT 374 controller, while the 8k5a2+ has the HPT 372 controller, is there any performance differences? Or is it just the ability to add more Hard Drives?

HPT374 is just two HPT372 controllers, gives you option to conectup to a total of 12 IDE devices. Don't know if there is a preformance diff. don't think so.

i'm doing okay running raid w/ epox 4g4a+... 1.6a @ 2.35 on default voltage... still going higher... this board is pretty cheap too... $116 @ mwave
