i have zalman 7000b alcu.

i have msi 865pe fs2ir ,p4 2.8c @3.5

idle cpu : 30C max load : 50C
system idle: 40C

i want to know if their any hsf that can make my cpu much cooler.

when i use max load on my cpu , my PSU got pretty warm.

do i need to get a good psu to make it cool.

That Zalman is a pretty good fansink, and 50C under full load while overclocked is darn good.

It does help to have a cooler-running PSU though. The coolest running ones are the ones with a 120mm fan and large-area honeycomb vent grille in the back, like the Seasonic Super Tornado or S12 (and bonus-- They are very quiet too).

HTH.

The PCP&C 510 is certainly good enough for your system. It will NOT help cool your system very well though because all it has is just an 80mm fan.

As I mentioned before, Seasonics are excellent. Get one with a 120mm fan, and you should see your case temps drop several degrees from the 40C you got now.

HTH.

why when i play half life 2 , the pc automatic reboot.

it is because it is too hot.

when i play hlf2, i oced to p4 2.8c@3.5.

i am using generic 625 watts psu.

the psu have one 120mm fan on the bottom and 1 80mm on the side of it.

Yikes, a generic PSU.

Get rid of that thing and pick up a Seasonic.

I am using a Seasonic Super Tornado 300 (that's right, just 300 watts) in my main HTPC rig, which has a P4 3.0gHz Northwood and the same Zalman 7000 you have, Abit IC7 (i875 chipset), 2X 250GB SATA HDs, 2X optical drives, and a Radeon 9800Pro plus Hauppauge PVR150. All in a horizontal desktop HTPC case. My case temps never rise above 31C when room temp is 25C.

I've never had any PSU-related instability problems.

Kill two birds with one stone. Get a Seasonic-- Better power and runs cooler.

i got 2x80 sata hd in raid, 1 maxtor 200 ide hd, p4 2.8c@3.5 , ati 9800pro/xt, 1 dvdr, msi 865pe board, zalman 7000b alcu
