BEST OC (stability matters) NON-SLI mobo

Hi guys,

What's the best OCing NON-SLI mobo? please provide me with choices AnD reasons. I'm looking to OC to a safe margin. sorry if i sound like a newbie, cuz i am just trying to improve my computer knowledge on my way when building this new rig

any advices will be greatly appreciated!! thanks guys

The best OCing Non-SLI motherboard is DFI Lanparty UT nF4 Ultra-D, Why? Because when you use AMD 64 3000+ Venice processor (1.8 GHz) and if you want to overclock, its can reach about 2.5-2.7 GHz.

Cant forget the EPoX EP-9NPA+Ultra board either, check out the Anandtech review it overclocks just a smidge under the DFI boards and is just as stable and it's definitely cheaper if you are on a budget.

I recommend the DFI Lanparty Ultra-D if you want to spend a bit more, want great overclocks, and don't mind losing a PCI slot. However, if you want to save some money and need another PCI slot, the EPoX 9nPA+ Ultra is a great pick.

wow thanks so much people. I've made my decision. If I can find a reasonably priced EpOX 9nPA+ Ultra by any sellers on this forum, I'll get it; if not, I'll get the DFI Lanparty Ultra-D from one of the resellers in Canada. I just couldn't seem to find any resellers in Canada selling the EPOX mobo

I checked all the authorized Canadian dealers on epox's site you provided
well tigerdirect.ca has the lowest priced epox 9npa+ Ultra at 155.99 CAD and +shipping it's $170.77 CAD
I can get a DFI LanParty Ultra-D at a local store for 155.95
geese =.= shouldnt epox boards be cheaper

Yep, Epox should be cheaper, but we are Canadian, and our choice of retailers and products is limited :disgust: . You can always try US retailers, but then there is Duty and Shipping and why bother... It's funny, Epox was available everywhere last year, now they are gone ?!?!

DFI is good, it just takes time to set up. Make friends with DFI Street, the community support there is awesome. Having it at a local store it great. If you need to RMA the board, you can do it in person .

I got my Ultra-D from NCIX on some kind of 3-day-only sale. I paid about $135 CDN for it. And I got lucky, too, because it was an early revision board before they started putting epoxy over the SLI bridges, so this thing is just a pencil-stroke away from SLI.

oh man very nice...I wouldn't ever buy from NCIX if what I'm looking for isn't on sale there...simply b/c sometimes even NCIX's "hot" products are more expensive then some small local computer store I go to.
