Best Nvidia PCI card to drive my Dell 2005fpw secondary display in DVI mode..

I'm looking for an Nvidia PCI card w/ DVI that will be able to drive my 2005fpw in DVI mode.
I need to run this thing at 1680x1050. I currently have a Matrox G450 PCI that will only output a max resolution of 1280x1024 in DVI mode (so I'm using it in analog right now).

I'm looking at the 5200FX series on Newegg but some of them say they have a max resolution of 1600x1200 in dvi mode.

The only reason why I want an Nvidia card is because my primary card is an AIW 9700 and I don't want to lose my TV function by putting in a second ATI PCI card.

Just get a PCI FX5200. The 5200s will do 1680 x 1050 just fine once you install the monitor driver from the CD. That widescreen resolution actually has less total pixels than 1600x1200, so it is slightly less taxing on your video card. Keep in mind that the 20" iMacs run the same resolution panel from a built-in FX5200. It is not THAT bad of a card for basic 2D work.

Several people on the original 2005FPW thread over in the Video forum also said the FX5200 card worked fine. The DVI quality may not be quite as good as an ATi card or a newer GeForce, since the FX5200 cards tend to have so-so TMDS transmitters, but it will still look a lot better than an analog signal.

You could find yourself in driver hell trying to get the Cats and the Forceware to play nice with each other, though.

Thanks guys. I just ordered a PCI 5200FX. I used to have a 9100 PCI but for the life of me could not get the TV app to open with 2 ati cards installed because of driver conflicts between the agp and pci card. I think this is a well known problem over at the Rage3d forums. Hopefully everything goes smoothly with these two cards.
