Best NVIDIA manufacturer

I want to get a GFFX 5700u or 5900nu but I'm not sure what brand to go for or which is better. eVGA has very high core and memory speeds and is low cost, other brands are higher cost but lower speeds.😕

Provided that eVGA's 5900 Non-Ultras are still using 2.2ns memory (last time I heard they were) get the 5900. If you're an overclocker, you'll really enjoy the 5900 Non-Ultras as well, because they are EASILY clocked to 5900 Ultra speeds, and provided your system is well-cooled, 5950 Ultra speeds are definitely attainable (got my XFX 5900 NU at 5950 Ultra speeds right now) 🙂

Peace

Get the 5900. And you have to take into account more than just the clock speeds. For example, the 5900 has a 256 bit bus and a 4x2 design. The 5700 only has a 128 bit bus and a 4x1 design.

not a bad deal IMO. also consider the evga 5900SE. its not as fast out of the box as the non-ultra, but its cheaper and can hit speeds on par with the 5950. linky

Really, I've heard bad things about the SE's.

SE USUALLY means complete crap, not so with the 5900SE. just look at the benchies for yourself. and look at the mad overclocks!

BFG is great quality and they have toll-free 24/7 365 tech support and a FULL lifetime warranty. If you can find one at Best Buy they're $200 after rebate.

I like companies who give reference heatsinks because I think that most of the heatsinks that manufacturers make are really ugly - take the gainward 5900 for example - a metal box, how attractive. I also like companies who don't bundle any games with their product - I'm not buying a card for the game and don't want manufacturing quality lowered for it or the price higher - I'm buying a card remember. That's what I like. It's hard to find one that does both of these things. eVGA sort of does this.

Yep, some of msi's are indeed nice. I like my ti4200 from them. Too bad they're 5900's are so much more expensive 🙁

gainward = best quality hands down

Not quite,Leadtek is better IMHO,they have always had excellent IQ and no card problems like Gainward had awhile back with the GF4 Ti4200.

I am running a Leadtek here, I was previously running a Radeon 9800 Pro, the Leadtek has better pic quality than the pro did, hands down.
