Best Nvidia drivers?

I've got a Leadtek 6800NU and am using 61.77's.

I was thinking of finally getting new drivers, considering how outdated these are (even though their the latest official ones). Should I wait until Nvidia's official release (any idea when that'll be?) or is it worth the update now? If it's worth updating, what's the best version to get? I don't want anything too recent because I'm afraid of performance/stability/compatibility issues, so what are the best-performing drivers that run without a hitch?

Thanks.

Don't the 66.70's have problems with certain games?
Because I thought I heard something about them not working with Tribes: Vengeance and UT2K4, for example.

Donno about Tribes and I know some people have problems with UT2004 with the latest drivers if they have an A64 and DEP is enabled. But its only some people anyways. I don't know either way as I don't play those games.

Most importantly, where can we find these unofficial drivers?

3Dchipset.com
Guru3D.com

Those are the two main places I go for drivers. 3Dchipset usually has a very large selection of drivers.

FYI - I'm still on the 61.77s. I thought about going to the 66.81s, the ones that were on Nvidia's FTP server, but my system is running without a hitch right now so I saw no need to rock the boat.

Hmm, I'm just wondering if I could improve my Doom3/3DMark05 scores. Not that the latter really matters, but I'm getting below 4K on an overclocked 6800GT, which seems pretty low compared to the rest of the 6800GTs.

Stick to the official 61.77 as they work well.

<raises hand>

You can expect spontaneous reboots or BSODs when running Unreal 2 based games on nVidia beta drivers.
