Best Nvidia drivers to use for a 512 8800gts? 3rd party?

I read somewhere that there were non Nvidia drivers that offered better performance. Unfortunately, I forgot to bookmark it. Should I just stick with the latest on Nvidia's site?

I tried to give you a link to 169.09 that works perfectly with my 8800GT, but you need the GTS support.

I thought those latest drivers that had GTS suppor where just for Vista? If your running XP don't all drivers work?

And to the OP I normally use xtremeG drivers though it has been a while since I have upgraded. I'll update my drivers when I install my new 512 GTS next week and I assume I'll go with xtreme g drivers again.

Sorry I should have been clear on that - I will be running Vista Ultimate 64 bit. So xtremeG drivers is what I should go with?

I understand that people like the 169.21... but isn't it the only one available for the GTS...?

169.25 runs fine for me in vista x64 and I haven't had any display driver stop errors since installing it.

Nice - I get those errors with my current setup every time I reboot. Nice to hear that they finally fixed that
