Best NVidia driver for GF3 Ti200?

I'm looking for the best driver for this old card. Am I better off with the latest driver or an older driver that is optimized for the card?

45 series detonators...anything after that give a pretty hefty drop off in performance.

I've experimented with GF3 TI's and G4 TI's and the 45 series have the best performance.

anything after DOES cause a peformance loss.

About a year ago I worked on a 2800+ AXP with a TI500, using the 70 series Forceware it got around 7000ish in 3dmark2001, however using the 45 series detonators it jumped up to over 9500.

Same goes for a similar rig with a 2600+ and TI4800, it went from 10000ish to 13000ish using the same drivers.

I can't recall any of the figures for gaming benchmarks that I ran but they did show a decent increase in framerate when using the older driver.

really? i would think the latest nvidia drivers (93.71) would be better for them...

the newer drivers are no longer optimised for such old hardware...it would be silly of Nvidia or ATi to do so with newer drivers...it would create a lot of headaches when it came to writting the drivers for both old and newer hardware.

That's what I thought. Thanks!

no problems, also if you can be bothered try the 43 series as well....I don't think there is much difference between them but hey...with old stuff like that every little bit counts
