Yes, but it is not the best. Right away, you can tell by the video card. It uses the R9600, which obviously isnt the best, since the R9700 exists currently.
I think one of the Hypersonics are currently the top centrinos. They have top notch service too (especially dead pixel policy :)), but it comes with a price.

Yeah the hypersonic he mentioned is very nice. The cx-6 i believe it is called but correct me if i am wrong guys. Check out their site, this machine has the centrino and radeon 9700 128mb in a fairly small, widescreen package. Also check out the notebooks at velocity micro. They have one with a 15 in screen, pentium m, radeon 9700 all for under 6 pounds. And you can get it custom painted too. This is the same notebook voodoo is selling, but for much less. Hope I helped

The R9700 isnt THAT much better versus the R9600 in laptops...unless you are buying it ONLY for gaming, this computerooks pretty good....otherwise wait a few weeks and get a Dothan...

Its not bad, but dothan is due out soon (will at the least lower prices) and a 4200rpm hard drive is not recommended go for 5400 or 7200(rpm) if possible. 9600 should be fine for most games but if you are planning on halflife2/doom3... 64megs probably won?t be enough. If you can afford it look at hypersonic or voodoo, they make notebooks specifically for gaming (though they are significantly more expensive).

Since your Topic says FOR GAMING i wouldn't even suggest you get a 5400 drive just go out and get the 7200 and save ur self the trouble. There are lots of companys that custom build systems to ur likeing and they will include the aformentioned drive so you don't have to. I would also suggest the Rad 9700 with 128 mb DDR as standard for you. I am waiting to see what comes out from acer my self in the Ferrari 3200 but then again i want the 64bit processing. Basicly you want to fix any bottlenecks in ur laptop before you get it or right after. And those 2 places would be in Video which you can't normaly upgrade and in the HDD which you can fix. Hope this helps if you want some sites just ask and i will post what i have found and maybe get u a few more.

i would go with this one: http://www.powernotebooks.com/specs/PowerPro/m5-6.php. add the 7200rpm drive and get the 1.,7 centrino then you should be all set. CHECK OUT THEIR RESELLER RATINGS!

also, i dotn have the link but theres a CHEMBOOK 2056 which is EXACTLY the same thing at another place that you can get for cheaper and their reseller ratings are 9 point something. good luck!

oh yeah, i read this notebook is DOTHAN ready.
