Best Non LCD Monitor for gaming and DVD?

Guys,

I'm looking for a monitor $500 or less that is at least 21 inches and has great refresh/dot pitch rates... any recommendations?

I have a Radeon8500DV and will primarily be watching DVD's off my DVDROM and gaming, and have 512 MG's PC2100 RAM and a 1.3GHz Athlon.

I want to wait on the LCD craze and stick with a normal monitor for now since they're cheaper, just a little bigger!

One last question, are there any CRT's that have DVI outs? That would be preferable if it exists with my Radeon. Any thoughts on this matter are appreciated...

don't think DVIs are meant for CRT monitors... if u're into visual quality, look into getting a CRT that has BNC connectors... i'd recommend the Nokia 21" monitor for your price range... but they're a little hard to find online for new nowadays
