Any idea who makes good ones? The Bose ones are nice, but very very expensive.

Yeah, try Sennheiser. Our pilots love them because they beat the snot out of Blose.

Not as good with noise reduction but the sound quality is way up there for the price. it's like getting a bmw for the price of a honda civic.

anyone that rips on the bose quietcomfort headphones has NEVER tried them on a plane. They are a godsend. Help a ton w/ the fatigue associated with flying.

Yeah I don't really care about the sound quality as much as I care about the noise cancelling feature. The headphones sounded good to me music wise, but the noise reduction was phenomenal.

I own the Sennheiser PXC250s. Noise cancelling is very good. Sound quality is pretty good. I bought those because I got them online for $85.

The one drawback is the device that holds the battery is seperate from the headphones (located 1/2 way between headphones and plug. It can be a little awkward in your seat but IMO not that bad considering the price.
