Really? I'm having a heck of a time with Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 Triple Thrill Pack & Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: Platinum....

There was another site I found a long time ago that I got no cd patches in the past for on my old pc. I need to pop in the hard drive from it I guess and see if I bookmarked it.

If the games are too old for no-CD cracks, just make an ISO of them on your HD and mount them as disc images. It should be easy to do as they won't have any modern DRM. I did this for X-Wing and TIE Fighter.

I'm actually pretty sure the anti-circumvention portions of the DMCA make no-cd cracks quite illegal.

True, but if we followed that law we would need to shut down this whole website.

"Since I just ran the BD through AnyDVD HD it no longer had any encryption thus Badaboom was ok with transcoding it."

That also means Daemon Tools, Alcohol, Nero, and FU Wizard are illegal. Simply put, it's another stupid law made by people who are functionally retarded. It was probably drafted by the same people who made L-tryptophan illegal. (L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid; humans cannot survive without it. This is comparable to making a law to ban water and oxygen.)

I use Alcohol 52% to make images of my discs, old and new alike, so that I don't have to worry about swapping discs in and out, losing discs, or having them get destroyed somehow. Takes up a little space, but storage is cheap anyway. Way easier and safer (and I guess more legal) than cracks.

I've never once seen this work on a copy protected game. If I try to run Oblivion or Ghost Recon from an mdf/mds or cue/bin image it just tells me to use the real disk and try again. Oblivion was such a wise and beautiful woman about copy protection that it wouldn't even let me install the game until I removed Nero.

I should probably include that it's still a good idea to rip images of these. The game may need a crack to run properly, but you can still install the game from a disk image. I've taken this a step further and now I'm also backing up game patches, cracks, and even install files for things like Firefox. It makes it so much easier to get the computer up and running from a fresh Windows install when all of your programs and games are ready to go like that.

You should try using YASU. I had issues with some games until i started using it.
Medieval II and AOE:III come to mind.

I gave this a shot just now and it doesn't seem to be working for Gears of War. The standard startup.exe for the game immediately crashes when I try to run it. The cracked startup still works fine, so it's not a problem with the actual game files.

You can use mods on your games or whatever. There your games. You paid with your own money. You just can't give your friends a copy. You can let them borrow a game.

So don't be thread crapping please......

Thanks for the suggestions.....However some games are fully installed and just check for the disc to be inserted so mounting the whole disc might not be needed. Game Copy World is great. I forgot about Mega Games. There is another site.........I use to know it......It had allot of useful no cd patches that GCW & MG didn't have....

I do usually mount all my games on my external hard drive. However I was using an old version of Clone Cd. lol.

So thanks for the suggestions.

This is thin cover indeed for discussion of pirated software resources.
