Best NIC for the money?

Do us all a favour and slap the back of your head. Planty of info out there on the topic. On board is good enough for internet or gaming.

An Intel Pro 1000 CT desktop card would be my current pick in the budget replacement, I have it's predecessor a Pro 1000 PT and it's been good for 5+ years and they still support it and keep its drivers up to date.

I agree with intel, broadcom arent as bad as realtek, but still bad

No idea why people say that... I have never had issues with broadcom, had some cases where they out performed Intel and were just as feature rich. Only issue I had with one was doing Jumbo frames on a ToE card which I found out later was not supported anyway.
