I have a HP celeron I have been attempting to get up and running using Red Hat 7.2

I need to get a NIC (I have givin up on the netgear card)

What NIC's have the drivers built in to red Hat so I don't have to do any thing?

I want this to be as painless as possible and while the Netgear site (and box mind you) say Linux compatible I for the life of me can't get it to work.

What NIC's have you used sucessfully

I've successfully used Intel EtherPro 10/100, DE500 (anything tulip based) and 3Com cards (3c905 and 3c595).

I've had no problems with the 3com 3c905b-tx cards dating back to Redhat 5.x.

For Realtek based chips you used to have to recompile your kernel (a pretty easy task though daunting the first couple times :)) but I don't think that's the case with 7.x.

Those are the 2 main series of cards that I've used under linux...
