Best nForce 2 mobo for overclockin

I need to know what nForce 2 motherboard will overclock the best with a AMD XP 1700 tbred b, also i was looking for the mobo to preferably be under 100 bucks.

I'd say your best bet is probably the Epox 8RDA+, going for $85 on Newegg.
If you can spend $116 I'd recommend the abit nf7-s rev 2.0. I just got mine from gameve with free fedex saver shipping.

Either way both offer a variety of overclocking options and have some great reviews

I'll say this: if I was in the market for a new nForce2 board the only board I'd buy would be the Abit NF7-S v2.0. I do love my Epox 8RDA+ though, it is a great board.

Looks sweet! What kind of speeds would I be able to expect from a 1700+ on this? And I currently have crucial pc2100ddr memory would that do ok in here? Or would I need to get some new memory? Also are ALL 1700+ tbred b's unlocked?

Soltek is very good.
Even the king of the hill, Asus A7N8X deluxe overclocks well.
OTOH, most all nforce2 boards will O'Clock well. Just get good RAM. Overkill doesn't hurt in the RAM department.

Most all of the NF2 boards are "good" or "great". Features and price become a determining factor. The onboard sound on the 8RDA+ is Excellent, but it doesn't have SATA (if you need/want that). A7N8X has everything, but at a price, and why pay the $$ if you don't need the goodies?

The Abit NF7-S v2.0 is definately the king of the hill when it comes to nf2 boards, and the last bios update allows up to 300mhz fsb. Highest i've seen 100% stable is 257mhz, but that was a while back. I'm willing to bet that quite a few people have gone higher. The 8RDA+ comes in 2nd place, but is significantly cheaper. Go with whatever fits your budget.

PC2100 won't suffice. Get some PC3200 Twinmos from MemoryX with the Windbond CH-5 Chips.

I have an Asus A7N-8X Deluxe that I'm very happy with. The features on the board are great...firewire, sata raid, amazing 6.1 audio, supports the newest 400mhz fsb chips. It's my vote for the best nf2 board.

Does the Abit NF7-S have as high voltage settings for the ram, cpu, and agp as the Epox 8rda+ has?
Also, has anyone found a good spot to buy the 8rda3+?

It only goes to 1.75v, but going much higher than that can be risky business with a tbred-b.

Right now I don't got the cash for a watercooling system, someday I'll get one though hopefully, I was looking for a low cost aricooling soltion, where do I buy that memory? Would getting some PC2700 or PC3200 from crucial.com be fine?

Stay away from Crucial memory when using an nForce2 motherboard. Go for some Kingston HyperX instead, it's cheap and works great!!!
